The only IAAF certified stadium in the Philippines

The New Clark City Sports complex located in Capaz Tarlac is 120 km away from Manila. It has a 20,000-seat capacity athletics stadium, a 2,000-seat aquatic center that has an Olympic-size pool, and a 7-building athlete’s village that will house the SEA Games athletes along with the volunteers.

The sports complex is the only International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) certified athletics stadium in the Philippines and will be the focal point of the 30th SEA games that will kick off in November.

Mt. Pinatubo inspired stadium

The Mount Pinatubo inspired unique design makes this facility exceptional with its pillars and facade containing volcano debris from Mt. Pinatubo itself.

The roof was specifically designed to look like a volcanic crater, while the glass frames make the main entrance look luxurious and elegant.

Its steel bars and columns’ distinctive color has the conceptual design to mimic the molten lava coming from Mt. Pinatubo.

The Filipino Christmas lantern inspired aquatics center

The 2,000-seat aquatics center is also a sight to behold. It is Filipino Christmas lantern inspired that mimics Capiz windows of old Philippine houses during the day. Come nighttime, this aquatic center resembles an illuminating Christmas lantern.

525-unit village for our national athletes

Aside from the sports facilities, the 525-unit Athlete’s Village that has a swimming pool and basketball court can accommodate up to 1,000 people, which is intended to be the home of our national athletes.

The central venue will also host the Southeast Asian (SEA)  Games’ closing ceremonies in December 11.
