According to the family spokesperson of veteran actor Eddie Garcia, his family has not consented the withdrawal of life support, as reported by GMA News’ JP Soriano.
“Please be informed that the family of Mr. Eddie Garcia has not authorized nor has it consented to withdrawal of life support,” Dr. Tony Rebosa said on Friday evening.
“They have however agree to place him on DNR (do-not-resuscitate) status. Thank you,”
Garcia is still in the hospital following an incident that occurred on set of his new show on GMA which is Rosang Agimat. Earlier reports said he suffered a heart attack but was soon retracted.
On Sunday, June 9, Garcia’s doctors said he was in critical condition due to cervical fracture.
As of Thursday, 1 pm, the actor was “still in a comatose state” and “dependent” on a ventilator and medications to support his blood pressure.
