Senator Antonio Trillanes admitted that he indeed met with Peter Joemel Advincula regarding the alleged expose of a drug syndicate but reiterated that he had nothing to do with the “Totoong Narcolist” videos. He said that he declined Advincula’s offer since the whistleblower did not pass their vetting process.
I Met Him
In a privilege speech that he had in the Senate, Senator Antonio Trillanes clarified and admitted that as early as last year, he met with Peter Joemel Advincula after some priests went to him and told him that Advincula offered to expose a drug syndicate, in exchange for his safety, since the whistleblower’s life is in danger.
Trillanes, however, clarified that he did not take Advincula’s offer since his statements are unclear and were not able to pass their vetting process.
Trillanes added that February this year, the same group of priests went back to him with more documents. The senator said that these documents were from the colleagues of Advincula in the syndicate. He advised the priests to refrain from putting the documents in public until he verifies the authenticity of these pieces of evidence that incriminates the Duterte family.
No Hand In This
Trillanes once again reiterated that he was not the one who ordered the release of the said Bikoy videos. He said that he was outside of the country when the videos started appearing in social media.
Trillanes clarified.
He also said that he could not blame the priests for believing in Advincula as it is their nature to shelter people in need.
