According to a survey made by ZocDoc, 93% of millennials do not schedule preventive visits to a doctor with time and work responsibility as the main factors that keep them into seeing typical physicians.

They prefer urgent care facilities when getting sick, get medical advice online, and opt to read health blogs information on health-related conditions.

Most millennials use the internet, in which many have access only by smartphones. Pew Research Center reports that 92% of millennials own smartphones and over half of the numbers own tablets. 

They are more tech-minded and comfortable using their phones for regular content browsing needs.

Smartphones are capable of loading health and fitness apps that can track anything, from the number of steps taken in a day to some amount of calories burned up, to the number of sleep-hours a person gets every single night.

It is the growing number of apps and gadgets related to health that often stimulates them to healthy living.


Millennial patients are so eager to use digital technology daily. They anticipate easy access to information about their health care.

Because of this, there are primary care institutions, clinics, care centers, and telemedicine sites that offer virtual visits, without having to leave home, to respond to millennials’ interest in fast service, convenience, and cost transparency.
